Known for their electric performances and dedication to DIY culture, The Dimes is a weird, femme-fronted rock band based in San Diego. Balancing heavier themes with the concept of play, The Dimes specialize in the loud, analog, and existing fiercely in the moment.

In November 2025, The Dimes released their debut EP, The Dimes: Live Session. Featuring fan-favorite song Mermaids, the band splashed onto the scene with driving, catchy punk songwriting and a hint of theatrical flair. 

In January 2026, The Dimes were invited to play a residency spanning three nights at legendary San Diego venue The Casbah, with each show featuring a unique set list, theme, sets, and costumes. Themes included “Mermaids,” “BBQ Bitch,” and “Fuck, Marry, Kill," all coinciding with songs in The Dimes' wider creative universe.

In May 2026, The Dimes were nominated for Best Rock Band by San Diego Magazine.
